It’s dead week, this means blasting opera music and watching the arts channel until 2 in the morning, discovering ballerinas like Vladimir Malakhov. I dont know why this means that but it just does.
who is that dangerously imbalanced woman heading this way.

This is probably the most depressing schedule. The things i’m reading about, babies dying in shantytowns in Brazil because their moms cant afford to look after them on a dollar a day, mothers in India being treated like terrible women for having miscarriages, Jamaicans forced into banking contracts that make it impossible to compete with imported prices and drive them into poverty and exploitation by sweatshops where if they strike they are replaced by Asian workers who are transferred to Jamaican free zones, and the exploitation of immigrant workers in the us whose hands are stained with fertilizers and families torn apart from being undocumented and thrown into detention centers free from any prison standards and then sent back to the country their from as criminals unable to ever return, and the brutal imperialism of King Leopold in Congo, where women, men, and children were forced into labour otherwise killed and mutilated under the name of Christianity, replaced by a similar ruling of the Belgians who sought to “civilize” the Congolese, then when independence was finally reached the US and secret police assassinated the Congolese president because his ideas were too socialist, replacing him with their own dictator to ensure they could continue to freely exploit the Congo of its raw materials, now whats left a torn country, ethnically divided people, and one of the highest cases of rape and sexual abuse, where the hospitals are filled with women only wanting some kind of reconstructive surgery, then the disgusting treatment of the return of the Senegalese after they fought along side the French in WWII, and the forgotten genocide of the Herero people in Namibia for Germany to have settlements, and the horrors of Apartheid in South Africa, and how we only see Africa as the media portrays, a helpless dark land with incapable of liberation without outside help whose only history exists after colonialism, and then the continuation of racism because of only allowing Jewish people to hold loans with interest because it was considered a sin, and the horrible conditions of the working class during the industrialism era, and the belief that poverty is just a product of immorality, and the images of men in trench warfare during WWI, lets see what next week has in store, WWII, and the state of Haiti, and struggles for independence throughout Africa. That’s probably the longest run on sentence but I needed to rant about my realization of the world and my need to share it.

Whilst few young children are now born on boats, the ocean is still very much their playground. Here, Enal plays with his pet shark, Wangi Wangi, Indonesia.
